Cast Your Vote for Board Members
Electronic voting is open until 9:00 am CST on Monday,
February 13.
Voting eligibility and communication.
The PSAI mailed letters to all Member Companies in December of
2016. The letters confirmed the designated voter for that organization
and reminded company leaders that only PSAI Members current on
their dues as of January 1, 2016 are eligible to vote.
Member companies should have received a second letter from the
PSAI in the past week containing their Member number and ballot
access code. If you did not receive the let ter or if you have questions,
don't hesitate to call the PSAI office at (952) 854 - 8300.
Electronic voting.
Voting opened on Monday, January 16. There are five operator
candidates this year, along with three non - operator candidates. As
the PSAI Bylaws requ ire, operator Members vote for operator
candidates, while non - operator Members vote for non - operator
candidates. (Note: The 'non - operator' category is the category for
suppliers. It replaced the more restrictive category called "Associates" when the PSAI B ylaws were updated in 2014.)
When you access the ballot to vote, your organization will be asked to rank the candidates in order of preference. Adding
this ranking element to the voting process should eliminate the possibility of a tie vote and the requi rement of a runoff
election. The order of the candidates will be randomized – meaning, the order you see the candidates on your ballot is not
the same order as the next voter. This is designed to eliminate bias toward those who are first on the list.
Each candidate prepared a brief statement for PSAI voters, which were published in last week's newsletter.
