Joke of the Week
Two friends were going on a road trip to Florida. A neighbor
who had been on that route to Florida many times told them
that they'd be fine as long as they paid close attention to the
road signs along the way.
They'd driven 30 miles when they saw one that read "Clean
Restrooms Ahead."
They arrived in Florida exhausted, having used up 86 bottles of
Windex, 267 rolls of paper towels, and three cases of toilet - bowl
cleaner. Total restrooms cleaned: 450.

The Turnover Time of Trump's Administration Causes a Backup
with the Department of Transportation
The status of entry - level driver training rule will
likely fall victim to Trump regulation freeze
Significant rulemaking initia tives that were recently
presented by the Department of Transportation are now
facing a temporary freeze as the transition of power
between two presidential administrations continues.
The DOT website explains that "due to the change in
administrations, many rule schedules will need to be
revised to account for review and re - prioritization by
new DOT leadership." Because of this, DOT "will not
post an internet report for January."
Most of the notable rulemakings for the trucking industry will not be impacted, each depending on the stage
they are currently in. The entry - level driver training rule, however, will likely be, considering its effective date
of February 6. Reince Priebus, assistant to the president and chief of staff, sent out a memorandum stating
that all departments and agencies with regulations that have been published but are not yet in effect are to
"temporarily postpone their effective date for 60 days from this memorandum."
For those who are aware of the entry - level driver training final rule, note this change in effective date. As of
now, this is the only new rule that is foreseen to be impacted. R EAD THE STORY
