Joke of the Week A new guy asked the veteran, "What drew you to the portable sanitation business? Why'd you get in?" The old timer replied, "Well, my daddy taught me farming, but I just never seemed to grow into it. Then I tried being a tailor, but wasn't suited for it...mainly because it was a sew-sew job. I learned auto mechanics, and that really got my motor running – but the electric cars threw a wrench in what I knew. So then I tried my hand at running a laundry, but I washed out of that pretty quickly. I went for broke in banking, and that worked well until I lost interest. I tried planting apple trees, but that sowed the seeds of discontent. I dug graves for a while, but I was dying to get out of that job. Finally I settled on portable sanitation because even though we take a lot of s*** in this industry, we get to tell people where to go. They may not always be grateful, but in the end we always get our tanks somehow. We're totally pumped every day! © Portable Sanitation Ass ociation International (PSAI) • 2626 E 82 n d Street, Suite 175 • Bloomi ngton, MN 55425 www.psai.org • 952-854-8300 WEEKLY EDITION JAN 18, 2017 The Third Time is Not Always So Charming A Burlington, North Carolina man was rescued from a portable toilet tank for the third time. We've all heard the classic comment of "Don't fall in!" on our way to use a restroom at some point in our lives. More often than not, this line is taken as sarcasm, rather than an actual warning to heed. And yet, for one man, this remark should be taken quite literally. A user of an ATM in a nearby parking lot heard calls for help coming from inside a portable unit and immediately went to assist the man within. Local police and an ambulance arrived shortly after and retrieved the man who found himself covered in blue liquid. The police have received prior calls on two separate occasions involving the same man after he has become stuck in portable toilets. They're assisting the man in seeking mental health attention. Despite a few saws doing some damage to the unit in order to retrieve the man, the anything-but-charming situation was resolved with little to no issues. READ THE STORY
