W EEKLY EDITION JAN 18, 2017 P AGE 2 OPERATOR CANDIDATES CONTINUED ON PAGE 3 JAMES BAXTER, Baird's Septic Tank Pumping Ltd, Upper Onslow, Nova Scotia, Canada I am proud to have been asked to let my name stand for the position of Director with the PSAI. I have been involved in the industry for 16 years. I am currently the Operations Manager. I have attended several PSAI and WWETT Trade and Convention Shows, were I enjoyed and participated in several round table and education seminars. I have had the pl easure of being mentored by an M Z "Andy" Gump Distinguished Service Award recipient. I have served as Secretary for the Septic Pumpers Association of Nova Scotia and regularly assist in the preparation and set up of the Waste Water Nova Scotia Trade S how for Septic Tank Pumpers and Portable Restroom Operators. I have a valid Certification from the PSAI and have pressed the governing body in the province of Nova Scotia to adopt this process in certifying the Operators in the province. We have made som e progress, but not as much as I would like. My primary objective would be to lobby governing bodies to adopt the PSAI certification program as the standard for training and education within their jurisdiction. I would also like to see International growt h within our membership. Thank you. The first PSAI Board of Dire ctors in 1971.
