I am sure that for many PSAI Members, Chri stmas is looming large as you read Association Insigh t this week.
However, this is the last issue of our newsletter before the end of 2016, so it might be a good idea to think
about some non - Christmas topics that could be important for your business in 201 7.
OWN THE U.G.L.Y.
In a recent article on "Let's Grow Leaders," Karin Hurt suggests an end of year
staff meeting to finish off the old and get the new year started off on the right
foot. First, gather your key team members and stare squarely in the face of your
operation. Then, own the U.G.L.Y. Make it safe to talk to you about what's not
working. Trust me, it's getting talked about somewhere. So bring it up openly,
stare at it, vent if needed and then figure out what must happen next.
Here are 4 "UGLY" conversations worth having with your team. Ask, and then
really listen.

Happy Holidays to You and Yours from the PSAI!
As we all begin to prepare for the weekends ahead, we want to remind you that
the PSAI office will be closed for the holidays this week on Friday, December 23 , and next week on
Monday, December 26 . We will also be closed the following week on Monday, January 2.
While we take this time to gather with our own family and friends, we wish all P SAI Members a happy
and safe holiday season!
Important Reminder: Only Members who are current with their dues as of January 1, 201 7 are
eligible for voting in the Board of Directors election and will be listed in the PSAI Industry Resource
Directory. If y ou aren't sure or if you need assistance, don't hesitate to call the PSAI office at
(952) 854 - 8300. The office will be open December 22, 27, 28, 29 and 30 during regular business hours.
