J OKE OF THE WEEK
A portable sanitation company was expanding its operations and one of the owner's friends sent
flowers for the occasion. The lovely arrangement was delivered in the midst of the open house
welcoming potential customers - the tone of which was meant to win their confidence in the
company as a service provider and long - term business partner. The flowers with the card were
placed right where everyone could see them, but unfortun ately the card said, "Rest in Peace." The owner was little
upset since "Rest in Peace" certainly undermined the idea they'd be there for a while, so he called the florist to
complain. After the owner had told the florist about the obvious mistake, the flor ist said, "Sir, I'm really sorry that
happened … and even sorrier about the next call I am sure to get." "Oh?" inquired the portable sanitation company
owner. "Why is that?" The florist said, "Well, somewhere there is a funeral taking place today, and they have flowers
with a note saying, 'Congratulations on your new location.'"
