What does it mean to demonstrate Excellence in Our Reputation ? Sarabia's
Portable Jons in El Pa so, Texas is not only a Certified Women's Business
Enterprise through the Women's Business Enterprise National Council
(WBENC), it's also an employee - owned company. We spoke with majority
owner Monica Brown this week to learn more about how their organizat ion
h as created an excellent reputation and works hard daily to maintain it while
improving the image of the portable sanitation industry.
Ownership creates incentive
Employee ownership creates a natural incentive for all employees to manage
the company's reputation. The Code of Excellence states: We believe
delivering quality services and building a positive reputation begins and
ends with our personnel . Sarabia's excellent reputation gives them a
competitive advantage. Monica explains, "While key decision s are made by
me ( as the majority owner ), we have a company meetin g each Wednesday to
get staff involved and provide input. We discuss special situations for various
customer requests and talk through proposed changes that will help the
organization. We al so have excellent managers who are held accountable for
delivering results, so we give them a lot of liberty to do what is needed and
make decisions."
