Essay Quote: "Locally, portable toilets on construction sites are an investment that
pays off with both incre ased productivity and employee satisfaction. When portable
toilets are located on the jobsite employees are more comfortable and take minimal breaks. Many studies prove
that a cleaner environment encourages employees to work more efficiently and with more respect for the site and
the employer. As part of my facilities job at HPHS, sanitary restrooms and extra portable toilets at outdoor events
are necessary. I look forward to sharing my knowledge of the sanitation issue with both local and worldwide
events and discussions. "

Essay Quote: " Not only is portable sanitation making a difference around the globe, it
is improving the lives of countless people on a smaller scale as well. For example, last
year, the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries fined King County Metro for failing to provide
adequate time and access t o restroom for their 2,600 employee bus drivers and denying them this basic human
right. Metro Transit hired a specialized comfort coordinator to se up 'comfort stations' around Seattle specifically
for the drivers. These portable restrooms have proven to be invaluable in the lives of King County bus drivers.
Access to portable restrooms aid in the preservation of dignity and the independence of people everywhere,
while also granting the basic human right to privacy. "
