Announcing the PSAI Industry Resource Directory By Karleen Kos, PSAI Executive Director CONTINUED FROM COVER… As your new executive director, I have had occasion to talk with many Mem bers about how they use the catalog and whether it meets their needs. The good news is that yes – in this very technology - driven world, our Members still feel there is a p lace for the hard copy catalog we produce, and they look forward to receiving it each year. At the same time, there are other resources Members want that either cannot be found anywhere – or cannot be found easily when they are needed. This is where your association will be stepping in to look for ways to fill the resource gap. With this in mind, we wi ll be transforming the former Industry Catalog to include both the supplier information you are used to seeing and additional information PSAI Members seek most often. Some of this information will be published annually; other articles will be specific to things happening in the industry during the year of publication. Likely to be included: • Text of regulations and guidelines affecting most PSAI Members • Summaries of regulations in various states/countries and changes being contemplated in th ose regulations • Information regarding key operational issues and best practices • Articles by industry leaders on topics of importance to PSAI Members In addition to these new features, you can count on the PSAI Industry Resource Directory to include the co ntent you have come to ex pect from the Industry Catalog : • Information and ads from your favorite suppliers • A current membership contact list • Up - to - date information about the PSAI's priorities, activities, and leadership Over time we will be able to add mo re features and to develop a more user - friendly version for your smart phone or tablet. Our goal is to provide a publication that becomes a well - thumbed volume that is never far away when you need it. We are still designing the new publication, so there is still time to provide additional feedback regarding the sorts of information your company could use.
