Nuts and Bolts Educational Conference November 5 – 8, 2014 Amazing speakers, panel discussions, workshops and round tables – this year's Nuts and Bolts in Dallas, Texas ha s ramped up to a whole new level! The PSAI has a lot to offer as we roll out the conference session on topics our Members requested! A major focus this year is driver safety, and keynote speaker Ric Newell will not disappoint (see box below). We are also focusing on the industry's impact on the environment, and innovative ways to improve your bottom line. Speakers and panels will cover topics ranging from reducing dumping costs through MBBR technology to the future of deodorizers and techniques for promoti ng your business. Let's not forget about all the hard work the PSAI staff and Members serving on the Education Initiative have done this year to improve the image of our industry. The EI Committee will share highlights of the first inaugural World Portabl e Sanitation Day on August 15. They'll also talk more on how your organization can get involved in the collective efforts of PSAI Members to educate the public about how the world is a better place when the portable sanitation industry is doing an optimal job helping keep the public safe and healthy. Kicking off our Nuts and Bolts Educational Conference, Moore Disposal has planned a site visit at their facility. Owner Steve Moore and his team will provide a tour and lunch for all attendees. The site vis it is followed by an optional tour of Dallas sights that includes the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Dealey Plaza, the site of President Kennedy's assassination. For the full schedule of events, see page 2. We look forward to seeing you! The regi stration form is on page 3, or it can be download at: www.psai.org/psai - nuts - bolts. Ric is a driving expert who will pre sent some new and decidedly different tactics on driving safety for owners and safety team members to take back to their drivers, and he will s hare ideas on how to recognize potential high - risk drivers before they ever hit the road. In addition , Ric will o ffer a driving safety formula that has a track record of lowering wrecks in industries as diverse as produce delivery and road construction. This keynote is designed to provide attendees with a tangible return on investment based on reducing expenses and l iability caused by unsafe driving practices. Part II: What Drives You Crazy about Driver Safety? Ric's second session will be highly interactive. This will give attendees an opportunity to ask questions and present real - life scenarios around driving issu es their companies are experiencing. The first question Ric will ask is, "What do you dislike about your drivers' safety performance?" This should provoke a spirited discussion and provide Ric a chance to deal with the "nuts and bolts" of individual compan y concerns in regard to their drivers. Expect to walk away from this session with ideas you can take back to your business and implement immediately to improve driver safety. www.psai.org 800 - 82 2 - 3020 info@psai.org PAGE 1 ! !
