PSAI Executive
Director Update
I have had the pleasure of meeting Karleen Kos several times
over the years at industry events. My impression is that she
is an intelligent executive who was fiercely dedicated to her
organization. In partnership with the PSAI Board and staff,
Karleen has guided this organization through a transformation
during her tenure. During the last month of my involvement in
the transition, my previous thoughts were confirmed. And now,
I have the unenviable task of finding the next leader for your
organization.
I want to share some information about Ewald Consulting and
what you can expect going forward. Ewald Consulting was
founded in 1982 and is a second-generation family business.
The company provides association management, government
relations, and public/media relations support to state, national,
and international organizations like yours. Ewald Consulting
serves organizations in all stages of existence, from start-up to

The search for a new executive director for the PSAI commenced

organizations and reached out to several people in our network
who may have the right skillset. We have been in touch
with some promising candidates. Our focus remains to fill the
position with the best candidate for the PSAI long-term.
Our team has enjoyed getting to know Todd and Emily, who
have been very helpful during the transition. We have meeting
planners, membership/member services professionals,
communications specialists, team members who work in
professional development/certification, and our accounting
team—who are all digging in and getting up to speed. I look
forward to introducing them to you over the coming editions
of the newsletter.
