PSAI Association Insight, September 1, 2021 I 19 It's the Nuts & Bolts Educational Conference By Todd Ginter, PSAI Marketing Manager It seems like every time I speak to someone in the industry about the event we are hosting this November in Myrtle Beach, it is referred to only as Nuts & Bolts. But that is not the full name. The full name is the Nuts & Bolts Educational Conference. Like the name implies, the conference is about education and learning. The goal is to get to the nuts and bolts of what is going on in the world of portable sanitation, because when you get down to the nuts and bolts of it, you are really learning useful information. The purpose of calling it an "educational conference" and not just a conference is that we are determined to focus much of the content towards your professional development. The goal is that not only will you learn about the latest issues and practices, but you'll also have the chance to connect with other professionals from a wide spectrum of businesses in a manner that is recognized by various states' licensing bodies for continuing education credit. Educational conferences are popular because you not only gain information are available, what sorts of companies are using the different options available, get their takes on pros and cons, and benefit from their lessons learned. You'll hear from operators and vendors, see some of the products demonstrated, and have the chance to talk with colleagues about their experiences. A forum like this is what makes attending this conference so useful and satisfying. This is your chance to be forward-thinking in an area you may not usually have time for in your daily work back at the office. The knowledge you receive from this forum may be worth the price of admission alone! (Have you ever heard of a "cheap" technology mistake?) So much has changed with how and where we all do our work over the last 18-months, there is surely something from this forum you will take back to the office. Here are the topics that will be covered in the Technology Discovery Forum: Routing, Inventory, Accounting, In-Truck Systems: Cameras, Telematics, and more! (continued on page 20) from expert speakers, but also from others who can bring new knowledge and perspectives you have not yet learned. The best part is that the content of the conference is planned by a committee of practitioners based on feedback from operators throughout the industry. Let's take a look at the educational opportunities you will experience in Myrtle Beach this November. Portable Sanitation Technology Discovery Forum We are very excited about this one—it's something new and never seen before at a Nuts & Bolts Educational Conference. The idea for a technology forum resonated with the planning committee because it is an area that brings so much value, yet most portable sanitation company leaders feel less than "expert" in this subject. Since you run a portable sanitation company, not a tech firm, you need to know about the technology available to help you run your specific business efficiently and safely. You need to know what tools and software are out there that you can put to use to save money and time, without necessarily being in a sales situation. This Forum will give you a chance to learn about the various technologies that
