8 I PSAI Association Insight, July 21, 2021
Today and Tomorrow
As we move into the third decade of the
21st century, the demand for restroom
trailers is more accurately described by
the general term "the trailer market"
due to the wide diversity of services that
are now being provided on trailer axles.
To give you an idea and to spur future
growth concepts for your company to
consider, here are some of the services
that are available to customers today in
addition to restrooms:
• Showers
• Laundry facilities
• Mobile bunkhouses
• Sports locker rooms
• Military barracks
• First Aid trailers
• COVID quarantine areas
• Other ideas you could bring to
market
Final Thoughts
Restroom trailers were a major
advancement in raising the user
experience by providing amenities that
portable restroom units could not offer.
Water, power, and other conveniences
provided the public with an alternative
to the simple, yet highly functional,
portable restroom. The special event
industry has been the impetus for major
growth in the trailer marketplace. With
the expansion of services to showers
and laundry trailers, more customers
can be served and satisfied. Additional
offerings such as those ideas listed
above, continue to expand this product
line and to grow our industry. The history
of restroom trailers has not yet been
completely written.
