ASSOCIATIONINSIGHT Portable Sanitation Association International News BIWEEKLY EDITION JULY 7, 2021 Page 11 Fathers and Sons of the PSAI Part II…continued from page 10 Over the years, A Company continued to grow and to expand due to the innovation, the focus, and to dedication to good customer service that the Moores exemplified. One innovative measure was the adoption of orange portable restrooms as one of A Company's visual trademarks. I remember Jeff Moore telling me in my early days of operation that "an identifiable color will allow for customers and potential customers to see your units from a mile away while your decal [can only] be read from several yards away." Bernie Moore passed away on January 21, 2004, but his legacy continues. A Company eventually expanded into four states with six locations: • Idaho—Boise and Payette • Utah—Salt Lake City • Nevada—Las Vegas • Arizona—Glendale and Gilbert Then on December 18, 2017, the Moores sold A Company to United Site Services and began their active retirement. A Company and the Moore family were tremendous contributors to the success of the PSAI. In this 50th year, we salute and appreciate their dedication to our Association. Final Thoughts As these latest profiles attest, family businesses are the heart of our industry and of our Association. For 50 years there have been hundreds of stories just like these. Fathers-sons, mothers-daughters, cousins, friends...these remarkable individuals helped to build the industry and the Association that we enjoy today. v Personal Note and Thank You Thank you so much to Fred Cutler Jr and Repeat Cutler, Ken and Roger Winter, and Larry Moore for sharing your personal and the cherished memories of your fathers and loved ones. Larry Moore Requests As this series of articles continues during our 50th anniversary year, and as the update of "PSAI Through the Decades" is composed, I would appreciate any articles, stories, remembrances, or any other information that you could share to assist in the preservations and the publication of the amazing history of our industry and our PSAI would be greatly appreciated. Email Jeff or call him at 770-206-0794. THANK YOU!
