After years of hard work, dedication and determination, having built a business and provided for his own family as well as the families of his employees, the parent turns control of the portable sanitation firm over to his adult child. In this chapter of our history volume, we find several variations of this traditional business evolution. We highlight: • A business in Reno, Nevada that has passed from grandfather to father to son to—perhaps one day, their granddaughter. • A Canadian company that demonstrates the "like father, like son" ownership plan is not unique to the US. • A small Idaho business that spread into other markets with two sons building on their father's founding legacy.
