Shortages Give Us a Chance to Reposition the Portable Sanitation Industry By Karleen Kos, PSAI's Executive Director I n recent weeks, portable sanitation has received an unusually high amount of press coverage, particularly from high-circulation news outlets. CNN, CNN Español, and Politico (scroll down) are among the largest, and the CNN story has been picked up across the US by television stations (ABC News in Raleigh, North Carolina, ABC News in Shreveport, Louisiana are two examples). Regional media outlets have also covered stories related to the current shortage of portable sanitation equipment and its effect on communities, customers, and event planners. From Maine to New Hampshire to Florida to Wyoming, this issue is getting a lot of attention.
