A Fishy Tale
I
t was the weekend of the fishing opener and a
young couple—who were expecting their first
baby in a couple of weeks—still chose to go
to their remote cabin. While there, the wife went
into labor.
They called 911 for help, and the dispatcher
said they should go to the hospital. It was more
than an hour away, and the baby was crowning
already. So the dispatcher called a doctor who
had a cabin nearby on the same lake.
The doctor rushed over in a boat and delivered
the baby. Having only a fishing scale on hand,
the doctor dutifully noted the baby's vital
statistics on the birth certificate. The child
weighed 23 lbs, 2 oz.
No idea how big the one that got away was. v
