Lindy Boehme: Outstanding Person, Outstanding Career…continued from page 7
As a result of her many phone calls and the continued expansion
of the industry, Chempace soon developed an impressive line
of portable restroom products, entered the recreational vehicle
marketplace, and began offering bacteria-based products that
assisted in the breakdown of various types of waste.
In 2014, Chempace moved away from the portable restroom
product line and Lindy transitioned to CPACEX in order to remain
in the industry that "I loved and admired." Our industry, and in
particular the PSAI, loved Lindy as well for all of her volunteer
work and contributions to the Association. In fact, in 2018, Lindy
Boehme was named as the recipient of the Flay and Glenda
Anthony Volunteer of the Year Award (as shown below right). Her name is synonymous with the annual Urgent Run
at the PSAI Conventions.
As Lindy looks back on the history of deodorizers in our industry she notes,
"It is evolving at a rapid rate. I see more deodorizer products and fragrances
in the future. The introduction of powder and tablets have been successful
in portion control and convenience of use." She also sees bacteria that can
work with little residency to decompose waste as being a future trend.
Lindy and her husband, Rick, have two children—Stephen and Krysten—and
three grandchildren ages 12, 5, and 4. With both Lindy and Rick retiring now,
they will have plenty of time to spend with their growing family.
My former company's name was not on Lindy's original call list in 1991, as my
wife Terri and I began that enterprise four years later. I will say, however, that
as we opened our doors and immediately joined the PSAI, Lindy did call. She
made an outstanding impression and established a friendship that has grown
over all of these years. Best of luck, Lindy, and please keep in touch with your
PSAI family! v
