T
urn back the clock to the mid-1960s…
Airlines are becoming more well-established and routes
are growing. "Flying the friendly skies" is beginning to
become more commonplace and generally accepted. Hotel
and motel chains are growing and spreading throughout the
country, particularly near large cities.
The nationwide interstate system is being completed near
urban areas and the network of freeways is expanding into
all sections of the country. Television has become the primary
means for advertising new products and new ideas. Business
travel and the desire to have conventions in which to interact, learn, and display products has became a reality.
