ASSOCIATIONINSIGHT Portable Sanitation Association International News BIWEEKLY EDITION FEBRUARY 3, 2021 Page 19 Reno 2022—One Year Away! By Todd Ginter, PSAI's Director of Marketing J ust one year from now I hope you will be joining us live and in-person for the PSAI Convention and Trade Show slated for Reno, Nevada February 1–4, 2022. Yes! Just one short year from now, we will all be coming together to learn, meet, and celebrate the portable sanitation industry once again with a full convention and trade show. While we have other events planned in 2021, including educational events such as the Nuts & Bolts conference which will be announced soon, the Annual Convention and Trade Show is our larger, signature event each February. I think it is safe to say that we all want 2021 to be a year of hope and change. One way to be hopeful for the future is by saving the dates and planning your trip to the PSAI's 2022 Convention and Trade Show. Let's take a look at what you can expect from your visit to Reno when we meet face-to-face once again with friends and colleagues in the industry. What to Know about Reno Combine your business trip with a family vacation! There is something for everyone at this destination. With a population of more than 235,000, Reno is the largest city in Northern Nevada. It is nestled on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in an area called the Truckee Meadows. Reno and the surrounding area provide unlimited indoor and outdoor recreational activities that are bolstered by excellent weather year-round. Spectacular Lake Tahoe and the largest concentration of ski facilities in the world are all within a 50-mile radius. Biking, camping, hunting, fishing, and mountain climbing are activities that Reno residents and visitors enjoy. Fun fact: Did you know that every October, in nearby Virginia City, the town holds outhouse races? The two-day affair, which includes 53 teams, involves teams racing outhouses down C Street and across a finish line made of toilet paper. Maybe we need to have portable restroom unit races during the convention! Learn more about Reno from their visitors website. Continued on page 20 Reno, Nevada skyline
