By Emily Newberg, Director of Membership and Credentialing It's easier than ever to join virtual events. Your confirmation email has the link. In the past, when you registered for one of the PSAI's virtual events, you would receive an email from PSAI staff the day before, or sometimes the morning of the event, with the link to join. After the PSAI moved to a more advanced and user-friendly system this last October, the event registration process evolved as well. What's In Our new database creates a unique link for each person who registers. So now when you sign up for one of our events, the system will automatically send an email confirmation with that link attached. What's Out Your "join link" won't come from the info@psai.org email address our members are used to seeing. It will come immediately after you register to the email address associated with your PSAI account. So, if you don't see a confirmation email right away, you may have to check your other folders. Some PSAI member companies choose to set their email security in a way that blocks emails generated from a database. Sometimes security relegates it to a junk folder. If that happens, ask your IT team to place us on a "safe senders" list, and that shouldn't happen in the future. Why It's Better for You In addition to the convenience, this new system has several other features that are improvements for members. Because your unique link comes straight from our database, we are able to track your attendance for CEH purposes and provide a more secure event. Important Heads Up Because of these new features, access to our events cannot be shared with others who did not register for them. In short: the link you receive will not work for anyone but you! So, next time you register for one of our virtual roundtables or trainings, be sure to flag or bookmark that confirmation email and be ready to click the blue highlighted words, "Click to Join Event" under the list of the attendees at the event start time. We're Here for You Misplaced the email? It went into a spam folder and you can't find it? No worries! Simply call us at the PSAI office. With a couple clicks, we are able to resend the very same confirmation email to you, and we are always on standby ready to assist during our virtual events. v
