Positive Operator Reviews on PSAI's Virtual Convention…continued from page 9
Suggestions "to make the best even better," included:
• having more exhibitor participation,
• perhaps having "shifts" of personnel so that there is always a "live person" in the booth, and
• from a system navigation perspective, only showing the available sessions at any one point in time and
eliminating the list of all sessions for the entire conference.
Conclusion
This inaugural event was a success due to the hard work and
enthusiasm of everyone in the PSAI. The next event and the
one after that will continue to build upon the success and the
"lessons learned" from previous events.
My analogy, which I have shared with many, is that I viewed
this Conference as I did my first Zoom call in March. If you had
asked me a year ago what "Zoom" was, I would have replied,
"Isn't that the noise that an airplane makes when it takes off?"
I was so nervous before that first call in March, but afterwards
I realized it was not that bad and that I learned a lot. Now,
roughly 40–50 Zoom calls later, I love that technology. So it
shall be with Virtual Conventions as well. v
