In light of a recent ransomware attack on our company in May 2020, we highly suggest that you consider evaluating your current policies and procedures on how best to protect your firm. On Monday, May 4th, we discovered that we were the unfortunate recipient of a ransomware attack. The ransomware took control of all our servers, which prevented us from accessing any computers, files, documents, operating systems, or other systems for an entire week. The ransomware did this by encrypting all of our files, including our financials in QuickBooks. The ADA also places requirements on restroom facilities—including permanent washrooms and temporary use structures such as portable restrooms and trailers—that exist in ADA-covered settings. This week marks the 30th anniversary of the date President George H.W. Bush signed this ground-breaking legislation into law. To mark the occasion, we set out to write an article about how PSAI Member companies work with customers and enforcement officials to comply with the law and better serve individuals who struggle to use standard equipment.
