Headed to College or Trade School?
Whether you plan to attend college or a trade school, we
can help. PSAI's scholarships cover either option. Federal
laws dictate, however, that the award amount varies
depending on the path you choose.
Applications Open until March 16, 2020
Since the PSAI started its scholarship program, more than
100 college students have received scholarships totaling
$357,500 to further their education. Incoming freshmen
and current college undergraduates who are PSAI Member
company employees or the employees' immediate family
members can apply.

PSAI Scholarship Criteria
The PSAI's scholarship program benefits
students employed by, or related to
someone employed by, a Member
company. More specifically, eligibility
requirements state that students must:
• Be employed by a PSAI Member company, or be the child or spouse of a full-time employee who has been with
the Member company for at least two years.
• Be a high school senior or college undergraduate enrolled full time at a four-year or two-year college, vocational
school, or technical school.
• Provide the most recent school transcript.
• Submit an essay about changing portable sanitation into a respected alternative in the minds of the public.
Full-time Member company employees who are going to school part time must be enrolled for six semester hours.
How Recipients are Chosen
The PSAI partners with Scholarship America (SA). SA is a nonprofit
educational organization that administers scholarship programs
on behalf of hundreds of associations like ours. Using criteria the
PSAI scholarship committee provides, SA evaluates all scholarship
applications and submitted materials. They then provide us with a
rank-ordered list of the applicants.
Winners are typically notified in the last half of May. They will then be featured in summer 2020 issues of
Association Insight.
Remember: Applications will be accepted now until March 16, 2020.
