BIWEEKLY EDITION MARCH 4, 2020
The PSAI is pleased to announce the roll-out of its new
Train the Trainer (TTT) curriculum. It will be offered for the
first time at the Baltimore Convention and Trade Show
and periodically thereafter based on demand. Certified
trainers will be eligible to train their own company's
personnel, and they will also be able to represent the
PSAI as trainers as opportunities arise. Here's what you
need to know to make the most of this new offering.
Who can become a trainer?
You are eligible to become a trainer if you are:
1. an employee or owner of a PSAI Member company,
2. currently PSAI certified or will become certified at the
professional level through the TTT process, and
3. able to pass the competency demonstration.
How long does it take?
The course is offered over three days in Baltimore. You must attend all TTT sessions over those days, successfully
complete the certification exam (if you aren't already certified), and pass competency demonstration.
How much does it cost and what do I get?
The fee for the course is $450, subject to any discount for which you may be eligible as a silver- or higher-level
Member. You get a trainer's manual and access to PSAI training materials for a period of three years, subject to your
agreement to use the materials according to PSAI policies. These will be discussed during the course and you will
be asked to sign an agreement at that time.
How long does my trainer's certification last?
At the end of three years you must take a refresher course and pay a renewal fee.
Can I train people from other
companies also?
Yes, provided you do so in compliance
with PSAI policies. The company does
not have to be a PSAI Member. Non-
members will, however, have to pay
nonmember fees for the courses.
I have other questions
No problem. Contact PSAI Executive
Director Karleen Kos at +1-952-854-
8300 or karleenk@psai.org for more
information.
