New Year's Portable Toilet
Gift Ranks as Glass Full
In a Sonoma Index-Tribune editorial about highs
and lows from over the New Year, the author told
of a new portable toilet received by Sonoma
Overnight Support's Haven homeless shelter. The
unit, christened Lane's Loo, was made possible by
a "generous bequest" from the late Lane Nelson.
"This [unit] will be a great help to participants in
SOS's Safe Parking and Winter Shelter programs,"
noted officials on social media. "So," concluded
the editorial, "A Glass Full to Lane Norton!"
Incidentally, the glass empty incident centered around
a pair of underwear found in a prickly bush.
