Rewards for Using the Official Conference Hotel. Each year the PSAI contracts with both a convention venue
and a hotel. Usually those contracts are inter-dependent; we can't get one without the other. The number of
rooms we commit to fill, the rate we agree to pay for those rooms, and the amount of food we promise to buy
affects everybody's total cost of attending. If we don't fill the rooms, the PSAI loses money. We also have to
raise prices for everything else, and it becomes very hard to get space for our show if we don't fill hotel rooms.
So this year we want to encourage attendees to stay in the official conference hotel: the Baltimore Hilton. It's
by far the most convenient to the Convention Center, and when you stay at the Baltimore Hilton you will be
eligible for special prizes. You'll also greatly increase your odds of winning. Every night you stay earns you
another entry into prize drawings.
