WEEKLY EDITION OCTOBER 9, WEEKLY EDITION DECEMBER 4, 2019 PAGE 7 J oi n Us in Bal ti more By Karleen Kos, PSAI Executive Director…continued from page 1 Cu s to m ize d At t e n dan c e Op t io n s One of the things we've learned over the years is no matter how alike portable sanitation companies seem, they are all unique, and their evolution as businesses is unique as well. Because this is true, we've adjusted the Convention program so attendees can better tailor their time and experience. A general admission ticket is still the best value and will get you into the regular educational program, the trade show, the annual Awards Luncheon, and some "extras" as well. Need more in-depth learning? We've got great options you can add on. Can't stay the whole time? No worries—we also have tickets for part-time attendees. Pick the one that works for you. Whatever ticket you choose, you'll be able to get a lot of value out of the time you spend, with plenty of opportunities to select learning that is best suited to your needs. Cu s to m ize d At t e n dan c e Op t io n s When you attend the PSAI's events there are plenty of ways you can grow your knowledge and take practical skills home with you. This year, more than ever before, we have created a program that you can adapt to your needs. Whether you seek in-depth learning on a few topics or a light touch on many, you can mix and match to get what you need. Our Pre-Convention Deep Dive Learning Day provides several courses in areas that are essential to portable sanitation businesses. They include: • A Comprehensive Approach to Managing a Fleet Safety Program. Learn about the structures, policies, and procedures needed to help ensure a safe work environment for employees, as well as ways you can help protect against liability from vehicle accidents. Take the daylong course or just one segment. The morning will cover safety regulations and the creation of fleet safety programs; the afternoon will focus on ways to reduce liability and exposure roadside. • Train the Trainer. Do you want to train your own team using the PSAI's best practices and official materials? Would you like to help train others on the PSAI's behalf? Then this new multiple day course is for you. Attendees who pass the certification exam, complete an instructor proficiency demonstration, and agree to PSAI training policies will become authorized trainers for a three-year period for the Basic Service Technician Training Series of courses including Transportation and Logistics in Portable Sanitation, Cleaning and Maintaining Portable Sanitation Equipment, and Health, Safety, and Professional Excellence in Portable Sanitation. You must be a PSAI Member and commit to being present for the entire three-day course. CONTINUED ON PAGE 10
