Shocking Sanitation Homeowners in Florida were in for a shock when their toilet exploded after being struck by lightning. The stray bolt of lightning ignited built-up methane in the couple's septic system causing parts of the porcelain toilet to fly through the home like a missile. Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident. The company was formed by a merger of the two brands Dixi and Toi Toil in 1997 and was run by Toi Toi founder Harald Georg Mueller until his death in 2014.
