Shocking Sanitation
Homeowners in Florida were in for a shock when
their toilet exploded after being struck by lightning.
The stray bolt of lightning ignited built-up methane
in the couple's septic system causing parts of the
porcelain toilet to fly through the home like a missile.
Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident.

Portable Restrooms Team-up
with Renewable Energy
The Reading Festival in the UK is planning on turning
the 750,000 liters of sewage collected at the event into
renewable energy. The plan is to extract gas from the
sludge to generate electricity for the Island Road plant,
enough to power two homes for a day. Find out more

Apax Partners Buys Majority of
ADCO Group
ADCO/Toi Toi is one of the largest portable sanitation firms in Europe.
The company was formed by a merger of the two brands Dixi and Toi
Toil in 1997 and was run by Toi Toi founder Harald Georg Mueller until
his death in 2014. Former PSAI Board Member Lothar Vermillion was
