A company leader was once about to hire a candidate with all the right skills, the right personality and the perfect work experience. His interviews went swimmingly and he'd said all the right things, but something about him still made the hiring manager nervous, though he couldn't put his finger on just what it was. Although the Board of Directors receives financial information monthly, each year independent auditors do a thorough review of the Association's accounts and report their findings to the Board. While this is not the most exciting part of the PSAI's activity each year, it is critical for maintaining trust and credibility with Members, financial institutions, and non-profit watchdog groups.
