W EEKLY EDITION OCTOBER 23, 2019 J oi n Us for Col ori ng , Co ckt ai l s a n d Cam ar ad er ie ! By Martin Zeltner Throughout history we have expe rienced incredible displays of art from the greats. Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Rembrandt and Lee (Stan). Now it is your time to become the next great. On Wednesday November 6 , please join us for the social event of that moment. Yes, that's right, this is happen ing — it's a coloring contest at Birdies Cafe and Bar at the Houston Omni Hotel. It'll be a great way to unwind, catch up with friends, and show your mad skills. This is no ordinary Art down. Be prepared for the unexpected and for unprecedented amounts of fun. All that you need to do is show up and to enjoy the moment. We hope to see you there. But seriously — why are we doing this? Awhile back the PSAI's Public Information, Education, and Advocacy Committee, a/k/a the EI, developed some coloring pages to help create awareness among youth and promote the value of the portable sanitation industry. The idea was, and is, to foster a new generation of awareness and understanding about the work we do. The EI would like to use this gathering in Houston to laun ch the coloring campaign. We hope, if you like it , you will take the opportunity to recreate it in your work place. We think it will be a fun thing for thing to create team building and awareness. The ultimate goal is to get this into the hands teachers, s cout leaders, girl guides and similar organizations. This is one of many steps we are taking to reposition the industry in the minds of the public. Hopefully each year we can create a new coloring sheet that follows along with our goals. But first, let's g et started in Houston. See you there! - M a rt i n Z e l tn e r P AGE 5 Martin Zeltner PSAI Board Member Co - Chair, Public Information, Education, and Advocacy
