W EEKLY EDITION OCTOBER 9, 2019 PSAI N om ina ti on Com mi tt ee By Keri Ross I am Keri Ross of Room To Go Inc. in Millgrove , ON Canada. My dad started our business back in 1991 and I joined him in 1999 and haven't looked back. My father has since retired and my title is now "President," but as we are a small company we all do a bit of everything. I'm mostly sales these days, h owever I still hop in a truck if need be. We first joined the PSAI back around 2001 but we didn't really get involved at that time and our membership lapsed. We rejoined 4 - 5 years ago ,and I have since gotten involved sitting on a few committees, attendi ng the Nuts & Bolts and annual convention, and working with a lot of great people. The greatest benefit I get out of being involved with the PSAI is working alongside all the PROs who strive for something better and are working to bring this industry up to the level where it belongs. I am serving on the Nominating Committee again this year because it is a great way to connect with the Members and get involved. There is so much going on at the PSAI right now that all areas of expertise are welcomed and soug ht after. I am personally involved with the Standards and Guidance Committee and the Finance and Audit Committee as well as working with the new Portable Sanitation Training Modules. We are coordinating and revising the modules for our Ontario Standards; I am currently on the Board of Directors for OASIS (Ontario Association of Sewage Industry Services) and we work hand in hand with the PSAI and look to them for guidance. Getting involved is the best way to broaden your horizons and give back to this great industry at the same time. I think you will find your commitment in time will come back to you in spades with the knowledge and connections you will acquire. We are looking for a few good people to round out the board for next year and I can't wait to see who steps up to the plate! - KR P AGE 3 Keri Ross
