Ameri - Can Celebr ates its Founders Argos, Indiana – Ameri - Can proudly honors our founders Gladys and Ron Bird as we introduce our third generation as a Family Legacy business. Ameri - Can has been a family owned and operated sanitation trailer manufacturer for over 31 years ! Gladys and Ron founded Ameri - Can Engineering in 1988 manufacturing specialty trailers for the event and portable sanitation industry. They were pioneers in the restroom trailer industry and many of their designs and innovations are standard in all manuf acturing of sanitation trailers today. Collectively, they've enjoyed a lifetime achievement both in their professional and personal lives. One of their proudest moments was being bestowed the prestigious PSAI M. Z "Andy" Gump Award in 2005 at the time th ey retired from their active role in the business. Gladys and Ron are now fully and deservedly retired spending the summer months at their home on Lake Manitou and winters in Cocoa Beach. They continue to represent a wealth of knowledge and expertise of the portable sanitation industry having the experiences of 31 years from which to draw. Beginning in 2005, David Harling, as the second generation of family operation and ownership, led Ameri - Can through several expansions, advances in innovation and a u niquely developed support staff dedicated to customer service and satisfaction.
