During the month of November, the PSAI will once again join with the World Toilet Organization (WTO), the United Nations, and other groups around the world to raise awareness about the global sanitation crisis. To do this, the PSAI will host our annual Urgent Run/Walk—a 5k "fun run" that will raise funds for needs related to sanitation. Similar events take place around the globe each November, and we are proud to offer one in conjunction with our annual conference. The event will be held the morning of November 7 in Houston's Memorial Park. GET INVOLVED The Urgent Run/Walk is a great way for participants to have fun together, learn how to grow awareness in their communities, and raise funds for worthy charities. We need your help. Sponsor the event—promote it among your staff and customers—and join us at the event Thursday, November 7. WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES Your sponsorship helps us run a cost-neutral event so that all participant proceeds can be forwarded to charity. This year's Urgent Run will support two deserving groups. One of Houston's second-responding charities is the Houston Food Bank, which supplied millions of meals in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. We are partnering with Omni's Say Goodnight to Hunger campaign to magnify the size of our gift to this worthy cause. For the third year in a row we will also support Friends of Ngong Road, the parent charity operating Karibu Loo in Nairobi, Kenya. This group assists children whose families have been affected by AIDS, while also working to improve sanitation. A breakdown of sponsorship packages can be found on the next page.
