The Importance and Value of Portable Sanitation

Perhaps we take for granted our benefits of having indoor plumbing when there are still many countries
around the world that struggle with not having it. The people in these areas face disease, and even
death, fro m the illnesses caused by not having proper bathroom facilities. There's World Toilet Day,
which focuses on educating people about the global issues of poor sanitation. Such an important cause!
When I learned that portable toilets could save 125 million gallons of fresh water every day, I was blown
away! Hopefully these types of projects will continue to educate all of us on ways to h elp those less
fortunate in our world. Together we can all have a positive impact on such an important topic as this one.
