W EEKLY EDITION MAY 22, 2019 Excitement Builds for the PSAI Virtual Rountable By Craig Robert Marson , PSAI Communications Manager Be in the Know Running a business means you have to deal with the unexpected; it is part of the excitement of running your own business. But just because you are the leader of your company does not mean you have to deal with these situations alone. Jen, from Cotter's Sewer and Portable Toilet Services, says staying knowledgeable about the industry is her number one reason for attending the virtual roundtable. Jen says, "I have always found the in - person round tables to be very educational and have high hopes the same will be found in the online version. I hope to access insider information that you wouldn't get from competitors. To get ideas from others that might see something from a different angle." It is this sharing of Member experiences from around the country th at makes the PSAI virtual round tables so unique. By working together, we will help our Member companies be successful and make the entire portable sanitation industry stronger as a whole. Topics that matter to you The PSAI's sole mission is to advance the portable sanitation industry. It is this dedication to our field that h elps the PSAI understand what topics matter most to your business. The first topic for the PSAI virtual roundtable s will be on discovering and retaining top talent. Jamie Gunderson from Honey Bucket lists the importance of this issue as his number one reas on for attending the virtual roundtables. Gunderson states, "The reason I signed up is that finding qualified applicants is one of the biggest challenges I face in this industry. It is not the most glamorous job in the world, and the work is hard. That bei ng said, it is rewarding work. People with non - traditional experience or education have loads of opportunities for advancement in this industry, but we need to get them in the door in the first place. Success in this industry is governed by the strength of your team, so anything that can assist in building a stronger team builds a stronger business." It is the cultivation of this growth that is at the heart of the PSAI round tables. As the industry evolves, the PSAI will be here for you and continue to bri ng its Members the latest insights from the industry. Do you feel like you have a topic that would be perfect for a roundtable discussion? Have any questions about the first roundtable discussion on June 4 th ? We want to hear from you!
