W EEKLY EDITION APRIL 17, 2019 The PSAI's New Marketing Manager Reflects on his First Convention and Trade Show By Todd Ginter, the PSAI Marketing Manager What a week it was in Mobile this year for the 50 th Annual Convention and Trade Show! You could say I was thrown into the deep end with the PSAI right off the bat since I was only on the job eight days before arriving at the show. However, I believe that being up close and personal with everyone at the sh ow was the best way to be introduced to the portable sanitation industry. It certainly was a pleasure meeting face - to - face with so many talented and dedicated people within the industry and having the opportunity to learn what is most important to you. Fo r those of you I met, thank you for taking time to speak to me and telling me more about yourselves and your business. For those of you I have not spoken to yet, I know we will be speaking soon and I am eager to get to know you better. One thing I learn ed very quickly about the portable sanitation industry is that this is a community of unique individuals even within specialized fields. This dynamic creates a thirst for knowledge and a willingness to work together that is perfect for events like the PSAI Convention and Trade Show and the upcoming Nuts and Bolts conference in Houston this November. It is exciting to witness the mingling that cultivates a meeting of the minds atmosphere within like - minded business people who are not only there to promote an d do business with attendees, but also to be amongst friends. I get the sense that I have found myself working for an association that contains people who take enormous pride in what they do. Once I returned to the office from Mobile, it was a pleasure t o hear such positive feedback from both exhibitors and operators about the show. Your opinion matters a great deal to us as we take time to evaluate this year's event and plan for the 2020 Convention and Trade Show in Baltimore. You can share your thoughts about your experience in Mobile by contacting me directly . I also hope you will complete the PSAI's annual survey that will be sent out next week. Our goal is to gather and learn from your reactions so we can get a better understanding of what drives deci sion - makers to attend and do business at the show. We look forward to continuing to improve and grow the largest event in the world aimed exclusively at the portable sanitation market. If you have any questions or want to speak with me about the upcoming Nuts and Bolts show in Houston in November or the 51 st Annual PSAI Convention and Trade Show in Baltimore next March, I will be happy to assist you. Otherwise, you will be receiving information about sponsorships and securing your booth space in the coming months. I look forward to working with all of you and I am very excited about the future of PSAI! - Todd Ginter P AGE 3
