P AGE 16 Renovated Busses Become Sanitation Sanctuary for Women Finding adequate restroom facilities can be a struggle for the over 646,000,000 women that live in India today. A new program hopes to fix that by turning old buses into portable bathrooms refuges for women. These new facilities also educated the general public on sanitation issues and wish to become a hub of health education in the future. READ THE STORY Viral Video Changes Minds on Portable Restrooms A video posted to Reddit recently went viral after it showed a portable restroom complete with framed art, hanging plants, mirror, a fuzzy seat cover, a lamp, a mini fan, a space heater, a speaker, and even carpeted floors. The article also has a survey on the bottom asking the p ublic if they would like the use the facility and the numbers are looking good for the portable sanitation industry. It seems like the 2.7 million people who viewed the video are starting to look at portable sanitation in a different light!
