Article III: The CPSP takes personal responsibility for providing service in a
manner that promotes safety and enhances the positive image of the portable
sanitation industry. This means s/he:
• Observes all safety rules and practices of the profession.
• Takes all reasonable steps to preserve and enhance the environment, public health and safety
of the public.
• Respects the dignity of all other persons—customers, colleagues, and the general public.
• Refrains from verbal or physical conduct that targets another person and/or unreasonably
disrupts his/her enjoyment of portable sanitation services because of his or her race, color,
gender/gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, marital status, national origin,
disability, veteran status, citizenship status, or other protected group status as defined by law.
Article IV: The CPSP is proactive and takes personal responsibility to learn and
understand the relevant laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to his/
her job duties. The CPSP understands that it is his/her obligation to report to
the appropriate authorities:
• Any conflict of interest s/he may have in the bidding or delivery of portable sanitation services.
• Any known or perceived violation of laws or regulations.
