Edmonton Goes Portable
City expanding on pilot project from 2017
The city of Edmonton, Alberta , introduced the porta ble pilot
project after complaints from businesses and citizens about
the lack of public washrooms downtown. After placing the f irst
11 portable public toilets, t his summer the cit y continued the
project by introducing some trailer - styl e portables that have
solar - powered lights, flushing toilets, running water , and soap
dispensers , says the CBC.

Portable Really Goes Portable
Flooding sends unit down the river
Some nasty rains led to some very quick and severe flooding
in Wayne, Pennsylvania, according to WTFX. Aside from some
flooded basements and streets i n four feet of water, it also
capsized a portable toilet in the whole mess.
"Honestly it's like something I've never seen … It looked like
what you see after a hurricane," said one resident.

Soccer Stars Use a Portable Unit
Pro women's team has no restrooms
Sky Blue FC, a pro women's soccer t eam based in New Jersey
that competes in the National Women's Soccer League, has
no usable restrooms in its facility, according to Think Progress.
This means that Carli Lloyd, one of the best soccer players in
the world, 2015 W orld Cup Hero, is using a p ortable restroom
if she needs to go to the bathroom during practice. Every
single day.
