For some readers, Nuts and Bolts may be unfamiliar; you may be wondering why you should attend. My nephew wondered
why he should leave his girlfriend and
the neighbor's pool for a road trip to
Wa shington with his "elderly" aunt too.
On the other hand, many of you have
attended Nuts and Bolts year after
year. Like a hop - on, hop - off tour of our
nation's capital, you might be thinking,
"I know this route; it's the same thing
every time. I'll go along if my friends are
there, but I don't need to do this for its
own sake. " Whichever is true for you,
I'm here to tell you there's plenty about
Nuts and Bolts 2018 that is fresh and
exciting – just like the nighttime ghost
tour and the baby gorilla at the Na tional Zoo.
New this year
Our site visit to the Largo Wastewater Reclamation Facility
will afford us the opportunity to see a state of the art
treatment works. Largo's Wastewater Reclamation facility
(WWRF) operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 36 5
days per year, and converts approximately 12 million gallons
of incoming wastewater on an annual average daily basis into
reclaimed water and biosolids pellets. It has been awarded
the Environmental Protection Operations and Maintenance
Award by Florida' s Department of Environmental Protection.
