Portable Units Crucial in the
City of Angels
Los Angeles looks to continue a program to
help homeless people
A Los Angeles City Council committee has
recommended that a mobile restroom program be
extended for nearly one year and that the city explore
the possibility of expanding it to new locations, reports
MyNewsLA.com.
The program was approved in late 2017 in reaction to
the outbreak of hepatitis A in the city and other parts of
the state among the homeless population.

Austin business owners welcome the pilot
program so people don't use their facilities
Days of struggling to find a public restroom while out and
about in downtown Austin may soon be over, reports
KXAN-TV.
The city wants to install permanent public restrooms, but
it has been a successful run of portables that got the ball
rolling. Business owners near the chosen locations say
they often have people who come in to ask if they can
use their restrooms, so they say this is welcome news.
